Larson as the front-woman for the
popular Los Angeles band Overnight
Lows (see ResidentBand episodes 14,
15, 18 & 19). As a solo artist, Jules
released her first EP entitled ‘Strangers’
in late 2009 (available on iTunes). Now
backed by a band consisting of Jonny
Morrow (bass/keys/backing vox, M.D.),
singer/songwriter tunes with pop-rock energy.
ResidentBand’s first video for Jules as a solo artist (episode 24)
had popular east-coast blogger Quirky New York Chick saying
“insanely catchy and I’m totally digging it.” The entertainment
industry quickly took a liking to Jules’ sound, which earned her
song “Almost Blows My Mind” placement in a national KELLOGG’S
SPECIAL K campaign. Since then, she has had her music in the
trailer for the movie MY ONE AND ONLY starring Renee Zellweger
and in the premier episode of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (ABC
Family). Jules also performed on a recent cover of Cypress Hill’s
“Insane in the Membrane” with The Transcenders (of Black Eyed
Peas fame) for the film FURRY VENGEANCE starring Brendan
Fraser.
Jules’ latest EP is due out in August of 2010.
